Frequently Asked Qustions
1. I am ordering a new display case. How do I determine what size stand I need?
Our stands are designed to accept display cases with a solid base, or bottom. The base of your new
case then fits into a recessed area on our stand. In order to determine the correct Houston Custom
Display stand for your case, you need to know the actual outside Length and Width of the base of
your case. You should be able to get this information from your case manufacturer. Use this Length
and Width to find your case on our How to Order Page. If you are uncertain about the size of display
stand you need, just contact us and we will respond to you, usually within 24 hours.
2. Your web site does not have the size of stand I need for my case. Can you build custom size stands?
Yes. Just contact us with your case size information, type of wood desired, and whether you want it
finished or unfinished. We will respond quickly with price and shipping/handling cost information.
3. Are there any additional charges for custom size stands?
No. Each Houston Display Furniture stand is hand-built individually to your order. The stand sizes
shown on our web site are standard sizes listed for your ordering convenience. Custom sizes are
priced using the same pricing method as used for the standard sizes. Custom sized stands to hold a
specific display case do not incur additional charges.
4. I have a display case that needs a stand. Can you provide a stand for me?
Yes. You will need to contact us with your case information - length and width dimensions, type of
wood, and type of finish. The Length and Width need to be the outermost dimensions (in inches) of
the bottom of your case where it will sit on our stand. Please recognize that it may be impossible to
exactly match the color and finish of your case. Stain colors, variations in types of wood, and the age
of your case will affect the color. Thus, we cannot guarantee to be able to match the coloring of an
existing display case.
5. Can I get a display case stand with a different height?
Yes. Our standard height is 36 inches. Just contact us with your stand requirements, including a
height different from 36 inches, and we will respond quickly with price and shipping/handling cost
information. There will be an additional charge for a non-standard height.
6. I want to display an item without a display case. Can you build a stand for me?
Yes. Just contact us with your stand requirements - length, width, and height, as well as the type of
wood and whether you want it finished or unfinished. Currently we offer the basic design shown on
this site, with the capability to accept 1/4 inch thick high strength plate glass in-lay. We will respond
quickly with price and shipping/handling cost information. If you are interested in a custom design,

7. How long from the time I place my order will it take to get my stand?
For our standard design display stand, you will receive your stand within 15 business days. Custom
designed stands may take longer, depending on the circumstances. We will provide you with an
estimate of the shipping time when we respond to your pricing request.
8. What do I do if I need to return my stand to you?
As a customer of Houston Display Furniture, your 100% satisfaction is our highest priority. If you
need to return your stand to us due to shipping damage, you must contact us within two business
days of receipt of your stand. If you need to return it for any other reason, you must contact us
within 30 days of receipt of your stand. Based upon your circumstances, we will make a
determination of what needs to happen. If you are not satisfied with the stand, a full refund will be
made, not including shipping/handling costs. If the reason for the return is due to an error on our
part, shipping/handling costs will be covered by us. Returns must be in their original condition and
packaging, must include the original invoice, and must be insured.
